Jazmyn is a Conservation Scientist and a PhD Student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at UCLA. Her research interests include developing machine learning algorithms on non-invasive spectroscopic techniques to answer questions about works of art - their materiality, pigments, conservation treatments, etc. Before joining the DSLab, she worked with Professor Ioanna Kakoulli, who greatly informed the direction of this research. She previously worked as a conservation scientist at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Jazmyn obtained a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and Statistics from Northwestern University in 2023.
