Kumar is a PhD student in Materials Science and Engineering at UCLA. His interests include the use of simulations and modeling for understanding the structure-property correlations in metallic systems and functional materials. Prior to UCLA, he obtained a Bachelors and Masters degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi in 2025.
